This initiative seems so unique and somehow personal. I hope it not only continues to succeed in Golden, but that it inspires similar programs in other cities!

This is a great gift to her community. Not only are bicycles great for the environment, but it helps people to get in shape and go places they might not otherwise be able to travel.

What’s not to love? As long as the weather holds, they’re wonderful. We see people riding bikes in the snow here, but it’s not recommended. Bikes .🚴🏿

Right? Golden is a smallish town and home to Colorado School of Mines (an engineering school), so there are a lot of students on bikes. It’s a wonderful way to keep the town uncluttered and environmentally sound.

Bravo to Suzy for all of her work. She has grown a small side repair practice into a full-fledged non-profit and it sounds like it is doing great things. Thanks for sharing her story with us, Karel.

Interesting article – great subject. I volunteer on popup bike repair stations around Dallas – wish I was a little better, but there are some other people that can fix anything.
Thanks for sharing.

Suzy is the real deal. What a good use of her skills and time. I admire anyone who can repair a bicycle, having never had that ability. Great story for #WATWB.

I can’t fix anything, either, so she seems extra hero-like!
