It takes many different supports to keep a community healthy and vibrant.

Successful communities are held together by dedicated individuals that are willing to dedicate their time and efforts to support their home. If you’re looking for some good news, check out the news article below about Suzy Stutzman, who has been working to keep bicyclists on the road in Golden, Colorado. She has been a major supporter of the Golden Optimists Bicycle Recycle Program to keep bicycles in good repair and available to those who could not get them otherwise. Click here to read this refreshing article of a great person who just wants to help others.

    1. This initiative seems so unique and somehow personal. I hope it not only continues to succeed in Golden, but that it inspires similar programs in other cities!

    1. Right? Golden is a smallish town and home to Colorado School of Mines (an engineering school), so there are a lot of students on bikes. It’s a wonderful way to keep the town uncluttered and environmentally sound.

  1. Bravo to Suzy for all of her work. She has grown a small side repair practice into a full-fledged non-profit and it sounds like it is doing great things. Thanks for sharing her story with us, Karel.
