We took our first dog walk of the spring this week. We looked for the owls in February and didn’t see them. By the time we returned to the nest, the owlets were fledging and ready to fly! We only spotted one at the nest; Mom was in a nearby tree keeping an eye on everyone.

Sorry for the cell phone pictures, here, but my good camera needed the batteries recharged (oops!).
That’s a cute owl! Thanks for sharing!

They are a neighborhood icon, returning to the same nest every year on a walking trail that is well-traveled. They seem to thrive on the attention!

Batteries recharged? You’re a Tesla?

Unfortunately, no. I’m sure you wouldn’t understand, Kismet. As a parrot, you are always full steam ahead, right?

I have never seen an owlet before, so am grateful for the picture, even if it was from your cell phone.
