My Pets Take the Lead

Gracie always has time for sunbeams.

Cats are never at risk of working too hard or too long. They understand the need for meditation, introspection, and balance. I’m letting Gracie take the lead today.

Nami has been giving hints that I’m working too much!

Nami is not very subtle here. Stop working and pet me!

The dogs are always sleeping behind my desk as I work from home. Of course, Garnet is our senior dog, and she gets preferential treatment. She’s the smallest dog, and always manages to wrangle toe largest bed! I respect River and Tribble for letting her have it.

Even the dogs seem to encourage loafing.

Gracie has taken over my desk chair.

Gracie figures that I am not catching on to the subtle hints; it’s time to get very clear. I need to push away from the computer and do something else. Find a sunbeam and nap for goodness sake!

  2. We can surely learn a lot from our pets! Luke often encourages me to just take a break and sit on the couch with him for a bit, or to get outside and take a nice walk in the fresh air!

    1. I’ve been working a lot of hours lately, so I’m paying attention to the nap messages! In truth, the dogs are giving me walk messages, but it is too cold and dark to take them up on those once I stop working. My favorite messages are the “I love you” ones!
